Control of a valve: from design to manufacturing

A faucet is made up of many individual parts which must fit together perfectly in terms of tightness, acoustics, durability and pressure resistance. To guarantee the quality of a valve, it is essential to put in place a very demanding Quality policy making it possible to control all stages of its manufacturing, from design to production, including the traceability of each part.

Control of materials and operation

①　Materials control

Control of the materials used is essential to guarantee their harmlessness to human health and the environment.
This is why each component is subject to traceability which allows its origin and date of manufacture to be determined.
In addition, in the laboratory equipped with a mass spectrometer and a latest generation couloscope, we constantly monitor the composition of the brasses, the level of lead, the thickness of the chromium and nickel. This way we ensure that every material used is safe on water intended for human consumption.
Finally, we ensure the absence of chemical substances having an impact on human health and / or the environment.
In this regard, we respect (and go even further than) the European REACH regulation, in force since 2007.

②　Checking the assembly the proper functioning

In our laboratory, we constantly check the tightness of our valves, their resistance to thermal shock, water hammer, aging… For this, we use test benches reproducing tens of thousands of cycles of use, to salt spray machines allowing accelerated aging of the products…
